Construction
The Gospel was continually packaged in tangible concepts of Truth; such as living water, or bread of life, or light.
Because we work in regions that have great needs both physically and spiritually, these concepts have formed into construction tools that we have been able to use to meet real physical needs while revealing Jesus’ great love towards them in a tangible way.
Clean Water Projects
Many times we have hiked deep into the jungles to find a water source for the villages that had no water. We then use a gravity based technique that collects water in a series of tanks, allowing it to build pressure as it naturally flows out of the mountains. It is then distributed to the homes or a central community “pila.” This place quickly turns into the social hub, especially for the women and children.
Food Distribution
We have done a series of feeding program over the years, from widow programs, to school programs, to village feeding programs. For people whose diet consist almost wholly of corn tortillas and beans, this is a great way for them to see God meet their immediate needs.
We have watched God multiply our limited food supply until the very last person received some. It has stood as a great testimony and tool of Gods provision in their lives, as everything we do opens the door for us to share the Gospel with them.
